Floral Embroidered White Dress

I’ll be honest with you, I am not the biggest fan of wearing anything white. Aside from my wedding dress and a pair of flats, my closet does not consist of a lot of white pieces or accessories. I typically stay away from white clothing because I find it a challenging color to wear and if you are not careful, like me, it can easily get dirty or worse, stained. Of course, that’s not to say that I don’t appreciate white clothing on other women. I do. I think it’s a very beautiful color. It’s so fresh, clean, crisp and feminine – I just couldn’t see myself in it.
Then I came across this dress from Forever 21 several months ago. I hadn’t planned on buying anything, much less a white dress. But I was smitten and, on a whim, immediately purchased it!
When it finally came, and I tried it on, I was surprised at how much I loved it! It was one of the first things I packed in my suitcase for our family trip to Mexico last November. The dress has such an easy feel and I adore the way the fabric flows and moves with you. The loose breezy silhouette was comfortable in the heat and flows away from the hips, which I like. But the pretty embroidery on the neckline are my favorite part of the dress. It is certainly very eye catching and the colors in it really pop against the Swiss dot white fabric. Sometimes, it is the little details that can take your outfit to another level and this dress did not disappoint.

I love the look of white pieces and have blazers, tops and a dress or two in my closet. I think it looks fresh like you said but yes, hard to keep white! I love the look of white booties, but I know I would get them dirty or scuffed, so I havent bought. Love your dress, the pretty embroidery, it looks wonderful on you, and certainly against the Mexico colors in your background.

Maureen that dress is perfect on you and perfect for your trip to Mexico! I love the idea of white and always find myself looking for white pieces. Of course then I end up not wearing it as often because of things like self tanner. I’ll never learn! I have a similar dress but it’s a little short on me so I have to wear it with jeans or as a cover up with my swim suit. You look fantastic!
