How To Combat Dry Lips With Lypsyl

*This post was sponsored by Brand Backer on behalf of LypSyl.  I was provided LypSyl product in exchange for my honest review.  All opinions are my own.

Dry or chapped lips are a common condition and for most people, the weather is the main cause.  Here in Central Valley, it’s not at all uncommon to alternate between extreme cold and hot weather when seasons change.  The rise and fall of the temperature wreak havoc on my lips and cause them to become very dry or even chapped.  While having dry lips can be a major annoyance, there are several ways to treat them, and one way to combat dry or chapped lips is to use a moisturizing lip balm to keep your lips hydrated and protected throughout the day.

Today I want to introduce you to Lypsyl Intense Protection Lip Balm in Original Mint.  Scroll down to read my review and find out whether this lip balm deserves a permanent place in your make up bag or not!

Lypsyl Intense Protection Lip Balm is unique in plenty of ways, the first being in its packaging.  One thing you’ll probably notice right away is the unique shape of the tube that the lip balm comes in.  Instead of a circle with the traditional twist apparatus, the tube is more of an oval shape with an adorable yellow honeybee that is used as a slider to dispense lip balm.  The applicator is simple to use, hard to get dirty and much more convenient, in contrast to lip balms that come in little tins like Vaseline Lip Therapy or tubes that do not have slanted tips for direct application like Kiehls #1 Lip Balm.

Also, Lypsyl Intense Protection Lip Balm is a non-tinted lip balm that is extremely hydrating and moisturizing.  I have been using it for the last 3 days and I must say it’s truly the smoothest, silkiest lip balm I have tried that has long lasting effects.  It eliminates trace of dryness from my lips and imparts a softer and smoother version.  Of course, what sets Lypsyl Intense Protection Lip Balm apart from other lip products is that their lip balms are formulated with ingredients that help soothe dry or chapped lips.  This lip balm, in fact, contains vitamin A and E to help repair and heal damaged lips, Swedish beeswax to help seal in moisture, coconut oil and shea butter to help repair and moisturize lips, while the mint provides a cooling sensation which I personally find soothing.  The texture of the balm doesn’t feel greasy or waxy.  Matter of fact, it’s lightweight, goes on colorless, and really adheres to your lips.  Compared to other lip balms I have used in the past, Lypsyl Intense Protection Lip Balm is a better lip balm in terms of moisture and longevity.  I find that even when I eat or drink, the product keeps my lips soft and moisturized for a long period of time and manages to keep my lips hydrated even without re-application.  As someone who applies lip balm religiously, I consider this a game changer!

All in all, Lypsyl Intense Protection Lip Balm is a good lip balm for dry and chapped lips.  It does an excellent job of repairing dry lips and keeping them moisturized for a long time.  But don’t just take my word for it, with a price you can’t beat at less than $3, you must give Lypsyl a try! Lypsyl can be found online at Walmart.com, or in stores at Walmart and Meijer.

Have you used LypSyl? What do you think?

I’ve never heard of the lip balm before but it sounds like a great one, especially if you don’t have to reapply it too often! 🙂

Hope that you are having a great weekend! It’s another quiet one here as another winter bug is making its way through the family, ha!
