March seemed to fly by, and I can’t believe that it’s already time for another Monthly Ramblings catch up! In case you missed it, I shared the first post of this series last month.
Now, who’s ready to ramble?!
Target Boys Color Block Sweater
The days are starting to warm but it’s not quite t-shirt weather yet, so a sweater like this one is perfect. Not only is the color block pattern adorable but it’s easy to layer on chilly spring days and is lightweight enough to wear on its own on warmer days. In terms of quality, it is worth every penny! I purchased this from Target late 2020 and this sweater has gracefully handled the abuse my little guy has put it through!
Sweater | Jeans | Shoes | Sunglasses
Shein Boys Color Block Polo Shirt
I was on the hunt for a cute birthday shirt for the little guy when I came across this one. It’s too cute for words and the quality is amazing. What’s more, I absolutely love the different colored collar and sleeves because it adds interest to an otherwise basic polo shirt. If you have a little boy, I couldn’t recommend this shirt enough. It’s perfect for all things spring and beyond!
Polo Shirt | Shorts | Shoes | Hat
Shein Floral Print Smocked Dress
I fell in love with this dress the second I saw it. The style was exactly what I was looking for (think Easter or in my case, spring break!) and I just had to give it a try. Unfortunately, it wasn’t flattering on me at all since the smocked waistline hugs in all the wrong places. It accentuated the love handles that I wanted least attention drawn to! Sadly, I returned this dress.
Shein Simplee Floral Dress
I’ll be transparent. This dress is something I ordered on a whim so that I can get free shipping. But I wanted to highlight it anyway because it is a beautiful dress and if you are looking for an Easter dress, this one is a winner. It’s super lightweight and the style is classic and timeless that it can easily be worn to brunch, wedding or even work for many seasons to come.
Holy Land Mediterranean
Though their location is nothing to write home about, the food at Holy Land Mediterranean is top notch! I have been coming to this restaurant for a while now and make it a point to visit whenever I am near the area. Their chicken kabobs are so juicy and delicious while their falafels are perfection! Additionally, their prices are reasonable, and the portions are huge. I am not big on cooking and Iove leftovers, so this is a plus in my book!
Loving Hut
Some of you may not know this about me but I am not a vegetarian nor am I vegan. I just really enjoy eating plant-based food! So, when I saw a vegan version of the Filipino siopao at Loving Hut, I just had to give it a try. Honestly, it was okay. I am used to the sweet, rich and melt in your mouth steamed bun and I didn’t get that with this. The bun was not soft at all while the filling was a bit underwhelming.
Golf-Themed Birthday Party
We just celebrated little man turning another year older over the weekend and honestly, it was such a tee-rrific day! My son had so much fun, and I am so pleased with how it all turned out. Per usual, I will include all the details in a separate post. Stay tuned!
Table Runner | Plates | Golf Ball Cups | Lollipops | Cookie Bags
Santa Barbara
As promised…
…the votes are in!
We are heading to Santa Barbara next month for spring break and I can hardly wait! With party planning behind me, I’ve switched gears and been busy planning out our trip. If you’ve been to Santa Barbara and have recommendations on what to do, see or eat. Let me know in the comments below!
Easter
Easter is just around the corner so, I wanted to give you guys a sneak peek of what I am putting in my son’s basket. Given he just received a ton of toys on his birthday, his basket is geared towards more on the treats side. I know not everyone loves including candy in their child’s baskets, but I am all for adding a few pieces for my little one. I found most of his items at Target (in the dollar section) except for the mini painting easel. That I found at the Dollar Store! Additionally, as a fun surprise, I filled a couple of Easter eggs with money. Let’s be honest, who doesn’t love getting a couple of dollars?!
Basket | Cotton Candy | Mini Cheeseballs | Pez Dispenser | Plastic Eggs
Now it’s your turn! What’s one random thing you are loving lately, dying to try out or looking forward to?

Oh that polo shirt is so cute – happy birthday to your son! It’s a shame you didn’t like and keep the first dress but I hope you kept the second floral one – it’s really pretty!
Hope you are having a good week. I’m looking forward to the long weekend over Easter 🙂

The floral dress looks great! I will have to check it out. I love your mommy-son matching outfits. You’re lucky your little one is willing to wear and pose with you. I can never get my daughters to do it with me. Maybe one day, I’ll have some luck 🙂

Hi Maureen
I know I have said this before, but your son is a little fashionisto! Love the colorblock sweater on him, and what a sweet note to receive. I also love pictures where you color coordinate together or wear similar items, so fun! The dress you kept is lovely, I really like the colors and style. I have a ton of dresses,so I just need to pick one for Easter. The food looks yummy, is the right, fallafel? I am the same , not vegetarian or vegan, but I do love vegetarian meals.
THanks for linking!

Love catching up with your life through the Rambling posts! First off, love that little polo shirt. He is going to look so smart in that. A trip to Santa Barbara, or anywhere, sounds amazing!!!! What fun! I can’t wait to see what you do and see while on spring break. Dresses and ordering are always hit and miss but the second dress is pretty and whimsical, did you end up keeping it?

Amy | 2nd Apr 22
You have the cutest, sweetest little boy! I am just loving the smock style this spring. I purchased a smocked dress from Amazon that I just love. I will wear it for Easter. I was amazed at how good the smocked style looked on me as I have a big bust, but it’s very flattering!
Joanne | 1st Apr 22
That dress is so pretty! I love that golf themed party; what a fun idea. I miss throwing themed parties for my guys but my oldest is turning 18 so those years are well behind us. Have fun in Santa Barbara; I’ve always wanted to go there.

I am loving the Target jumper it looks so warm and cosy. Your son looks so cute in it. I think my son would love this too. The falafels sound great, I’ve not had them in ages. Sounds like a great place to visit for tasty food. I’ve not bought my kids their Easter gifts yet. Your suggestions sound like great gifts for little ones.
