Officially starting spring break over here today and I am probably more excited than my preschooler!! The family and I are headed to Southern California for a mini getaway and I can barely contain myself!
Around this time of year, weekend travel plans begin to pick up. Whether it is for a birthday, wedding, or just to recharge, I am a big fan of weekend trips. However, when going away for a short trip, the only thing I find more stressful than packing is figuring out which bag to use. In my opinion, a good getaway bag is a necessity and of course, quality is key. Not only are weekend bags stylish, functional and affordable but they are also the most versatile traveling companion. It is roomy enough to fit all your travel essentials into and small enough to fit in the trunk of a car or an overhead bin on an airplane without the bulk. Who doesn’t love that?!
My weekender bag is from Sole Society. I bought this bag two years ago from Nordstrom and I can’t tell you enough how much I love it! The quality is amazing, the size is perfect for an overnight stay or two and I love that you have the option of a shoulder strap making it easy to sling over your shoulder if you need your hands free. Sadly, this bag is no longer available, but Sole Society has several similar bag options – Lacie, Cassidy and Mason – that fit the bill. Weekend getaways? YES!! This is the time of the year when we plan weekend getaways too. Packing is key. No one wants to carry a suitcase around specially if its just for a few nights. Your bag is honestly the prefect size! South Carolina sounds pretty good to me right now, enjoy your trip mama

Oh that is a great bag from Sole Society. Love the tone on tone leopard print. Here in NY spring may arrived on the calendar but that is about it. We are still dealing with winter temps and may event get snow! Ugh.

Love your bag! I have checked out online some of the SS bags and may get a weekender bag too! I always feel like i pack the almost the same for a week as a weekend, as us women have to take the curlers, makeup, etc etc.. Sounds like a wonderful mini trip you have planned, it is good to get away for a bit! I have never been to California! Have a wonderful trip!
