Madewell Bradley Cardigan
Living in California, I have learned that layers are a girl’s best friend. Since the mornings can be chilly and summer nights breezy, I typically take an extra layer along with me to wear whenever I leave the house.
Lately, I’m loving anything Madewell and this Bradley cardigan is no exception. I snagged it from Nordstrom Rack and let me tell you, it is one of the best things I’ve bought in a really long time. I was skeptical at first because it seemed like it would be too boxy on me. But I figured I’d try and see. I am so glad I did. Honestly, this Madewell cardigan exceeded my expectations. It’s seriously been one of those pieces I find myself reaching for over and over again. In fact, I love it so much that I’ve decided to give it it’s very own blog post. And chances are, you have seen this cardigan before in a previous outfit post.
So, let’s chat details!
Fit wise, I’d say it has a relaxed, casual look. It is not cropped, or boxy like in the product picture. I am wearing an XS P and it drapes nicely. On my 5’0 frame, it hits just a few inches below my waist for a flattering fit. And let’s not forget, it has pockets!
In terms of fabric, this Madewell cardigan is made from a cotton blend. It’s so soft and keeps me warm but also lightweight enough to not make me too hot. In my opinion, it is the perfect amount of cozy all while being easy and breathable enough to wear even in the summer.
As for my outfit, I wanted a relaxed yet chic look that would be perfect for a day out. A floral jumpsuit paired with a cardigan is a great way to achieve this. They are perfect worn separately, but together they are a match made in heaven. Since the jumpsuit is already so busy, I finished the outfit with some neutral accessories.
Lastly, I want to talk briefly about the elephant in the room. Madewell isn’t exactly an “affordable” brand. Matter fact, they are pretty pricey and have an upscale price tag. As a result, I would never buy an item from them at full price. So, you may be wondering exactly how did I score this cardigan? Simple. It went on sale and I took the plunge when it was marked down. Therefore, if you love Madewell just as much as I do, hold off for a sale. That said, the Bradley cardigan in Faded Mauve and Sage Mist is now 50% off from Nordstrom Rack and Bluefly.
On a different note, school is almost out! 14 days left to be exact. The little guy and I can hardly contain our excitement. Three months without homework? Yes please! We are definitely going to party it up come May 27th!

I absolutely love the bright color of this cardigan! It looks so good with your jumpsuit, what a perfect spring outfit! I hear you on the need for layers – here in Seattle it’s still 45 degrees in the morning but warms up to 70 in the afternoon, layers are essential!

I have a couple of Madewell sandals that I scored on sale. Don’t have anything else. This is a really cute outfit. Might need to start trying printed jumpsuits! I am looking forward to summer too. Went all out and made a tote with fun summer play goodies for the boys and even picked up a badminton set at Walmart for my teen. I organized the garage by adding some shelves and tubs and going to label things so boys know where to put things back. My favorite part of summer is not having a wake up time.
