Well, hello!
Remember when I used to be on top of sharing blog posts in a timely manner? Yeah…me neither! LOL Apparently, life has a funny way of moving faster than I can hit publish, and when I was looking back through my camera roll, I realized there were still so many memories waiting to be shared here. So, before these photos become practically prehistoric (because somehow January feels like both yesterday and a lifetime ago), I wanted to sit down, catch up, and share a little bit of life lately with you. Without further ado, here we go!
January kicked off with a fun little hangout at Mulligan Family Fun Center with one of my son’s friends. Between the mini golf, rides, and arcade games, there was no shortage of fun!

At the end of February, we joined our church for Serve Day as a family for the very first time. It was such a meaningful way to spend the day, serve our community, and show God’s love through simple acts of kindness.

In March, my son’s sixth grade class went on a two-day overnight field trip to Rawhide Ranch in Bonsall, and I tagged along as a chaperone. It was an incredible experience, and the kids had an absolute blast! Not only did they learn about the responsibilities involved in running a ranch, but they also had the chance to ride horses, feed and water animals, and try activities like roping, archery, vaulting, and so much more. But the fun didn’t stop there. Beyond animal-related actives, the ranch was designed to resemble an old Western town, complete with charming rustic buildings and a true Old West feel. It truly felt like stepping back in time and made the entire experience even more memorable.

The day after the field trip was my son’s 12th birthday, and his birthday wish was simple -sushi. So, we headed to Arashi Teppan Steak and Sushi, where he ate to his heart’s content. Yum!

For Easter, we hopped over to our local town square for some festive fun, and of course, we had to stop for a photo with the Easter Bunny to mark the occasion.

Officially a black belt!
All those kicks, punches, and hours of practice paid off. Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it!

After years of sticking to maintenance workouts, I was ready to shake things up! I discovered Growingannanas and quickly got hooked on her fun, high-energy workouts. But as much as I love a good sweat session, my heart has always belonged to strength training. Naturally, I found myself gravitating toward Caroline Girvan—and let’s just say I found my workout soulmate. In fact, since hitting the publish button on this post, I’ve completed two of her programs and am now working my way through my third!

Another Serve Day in the books!
This time, we spent the day at a local animal center helping with cleanup and giving a little extra love to a place that cares for animals in our community.

Grades are in…and your girl understood the assignment. I passed the class. Next!

May 27th was my son’s last day of school, and just like that, 6th grade is done.

My parents came to visit for the week, and one of the highlights was a little overnight getaway to Dana Point. We enjoyed beautiful views, delicious food, and most importantly, quality time together. It was the perfect little escape.

And now that I’ve officially caught you up on the highlights from the past few months, I wanted to share something that’s been on my heart.
Nine years ago, I started this blog as a new mama trying to find my way. I didn’t know exactly what this space would become—I just knew I wanted a place to document life, be creative, and hold onto a little piece of myself in the middle of such a big transition. Somewhere along the way, this blog became so much more. It became home to our mommy-and-me outfits, weekend adventures, family vacations, holiday traditions, favorite finds, and so many moments that have shaped our lives.
But life has a beautiful way of reminding us that nothing stays the same.
These days, my little sidekick who once happily matched outfits with me is now a tween, becoming more independent every day. While I will always treasure those years and the memories we created together, I also want to honor the person he is becoming and respect the boundaries that naturally come with this season—even if that means this blog looks a little different moving forward.
The truth is, I’m growing too.
I’m no longer figuring out who I am as a new mama. I’m discovering who I am as a woman whose child needs her in new ways, and I’m learning what this season of motherhood is teaching me.
So as this new season unfolds, it may not be filled with matching outfits anymore, but this space will continue to be filled with the things I genuinely love. Whether that’s style, travel, home, favorite finds, or simply the everyday moments that make life beautiful, I’m excited to see where it all leads.
To those of you who have been reading since the beginning, thank you. You’ve watched my family grow, but you’ve also watched me grow. And if you’ve just found this little corner of the internet, welcome. I hope you’ll enjoy growing with me as I embrace this new chapter.
That said, I still have some older photos I haven’t gotten around to sharing yet, and I just can’t let those moments go unseen. They may not be current, but they’re still part of our story, and I’d love to give them a place here, too.
