A Casual Thanksgiving Outfit

Thanksgiving is right around the corner.  With that comes the opportunity to dress up your little one in their cutest garb! And you guys know I absolutely love dressing my son in all sorts of adorable outfits.  So, today, my little bestie is featuring a casual Thanksgiving outfit idea that is perfect if your family is laying low this holiday season but still want to look put together.

At our house, Thanksgiving Day is pretty casual, and we don’t need to get crazy dressed up.  We usually stay inside, spend the day eating, sitting and of course, thank God for all our blessings.  Thus, we could get away with wearing sweats and no one would bat an eye.  But it’s not like we get many occasions to celebrate, be together and dress up.  For that reason, we try to look somewhat decent and there’s nothing like a cardigan to do just that!

In my opinion, every closet needs a cardigan including your little ones.  To me, not only are cardigans a wardrobe workhorse but they are also one of the most versatile pieces of clothing.  I get so much use out of mine throughout the year and love how it gives a casual outfit a little oomph! So, when I was browsing online for a few key pieces to help freshen up my son’s fall wardrobe, I knew it had to include a cardigan.

I purchased this red one several weeks back from Amazon and if I had to describe it in one word, I would say perfection! Honestly, there are so many things that I love about this cardigan.  First, I love the color.  It’s so vibrant and it is beautiful in person.  Naturally, I went for the red because it is my son’s favorite color.  But, if red isn’t your thing, there are several other colors to choose from including black, yellow, and green.  Secondly, I am crazy for the shawl neckline and the button front.  It just makes it extra cute! Last but not least, the material is super soft, lightweight, and feel like pajamas! Trust me, a definite must-have staple for your little boy’s wardrobe.

Well, that’s about it for today.  Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and happy Monday!

I love cardigans! I have 8 or 9 and I wear them during the cold months. They’re perfect for layering with vests.
