I shared this dress in my five easy teacher’s assistant outfit ideas post, but it needs to be highlighted again.  That’s because, it is without a doubt, my favorite Amazon fashion find to date.  Not only is it so incredibly comfortable, but it’s also just a really great effortless everyday option.  In fact, it’s rare that I love a piece of clothing so much that I buy it in multiple colors, but this is one that I now own in four different colorways.  I first got it in lake blue, then in mustard yellow, after that in black, and recently in wine red.  It’s safe to say I am kind of obsessed, and I figured it deserves its own highlight on this blog.  So, today, in addition to reviewing this Anrabess maxi t-shirt dress from Amazon, I am also sharing how I styled each color of my dresses for different occasions.

Fit/Size

Size wise, I ordered a small and couldn’t have asked for a better fit.  It has an easy, relaxed silhouette so it’s not clingy or form fitting, but it’s also not boxy.  Thanks to the dress’ high waistline and flowy tiered skirt, it is actually super flattering.  I absolutely love the way the fabric flows and moves with you.  It also has short sleeves which are longer in length and is great if you’re not into baring your arms.  

As for the length, I am 5’0 for reference and the length hits right above my ankle which means no hemming required and perfect for wearing with different types of shoes – flats, sneakers, and heels.

And if that wasn’t enough, it has pockets.  That alone gets two thumbs up from me!  

Material

In terms of material, the fabric on this dress is lightweight, and airy which makes it perfect for warm weather.  But it’s also perfect for cooler weather with the simple addition of a blazer, jacket, or cardigan.  Additionally, this dress feels so soft on the skin, and it seriously feels like I am wearing pajamas! What’s more, it  doesn’t seem to wrinkle.  

On another note, I do want to mention that the dress is unlined.  While this can be a deal breaker for some, it wasn’t for me.  I simply wore nude undergarments underneath without see-through issues.  

Color

With that, this Anrabess maxi t-shirt dress from Amazon has a whooping 26 colors to choose from and I went back and forth on which color to buy.  Ultimately, I chose the lake blue hue because I wanted something fun, colorful, and different.  Of course, as soon as I tried it on, I knew I would be getting this dress in more colors. 

Versatility

But, apart from the many colors to choose from, the best part about this dress, though, in my opinion, is its versatility.  For a seemingly simple piece, it’s an item that can be styled in different ways to suit various types of occasions with simple swaps of accessories*.  As you can see from my photos, this dress can be topped off with a blazer and a pair of sling backs for work, worn on its own for a day out and about, layered with a fun printed sweater and sneakers for meeting up with friends, or even worn with a baseball hat, striped top, and puffer vest for travel wear! Seriously, the possibilities are endless!

(*Side note: I realize that when we talk about versatility of an item, we are discussing how it can be worn or used in multiple ways. So, as I was writing this review, I was torn on whether or not, I should highlight and style only one color of the dress. But, given that color is equally an important factor of a purchase, I chose to style each color I own differently instead).

Final Thoughts

Overall, I didn’t expect to love this Anrabess maxi t-shirt dress from Amazon as much as I do.  Now that I own four, I can’t say enough good things about it, and I find myself wearing them weekly.  It is a true wardrobe staple that it is undeniably versatile and virtually seasonless.  In other words, it’s a jack of all trade kind of dress.  But don’t just take my word for it, there are thousands of 5-star reviews on this dress, go see what other people have to say about it.
