Mommy & Me: Valentine’s Day Outfit

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, now is the time to start planning your outfit and personally, I don’t think it would be as fun without your bestie! While I may not be the biggest Valentine’s Day enthusiast, I love all things heart and if you didn’t know, red is my favorite color. So, when I found this mommy and me matching best friend t-shirts on Etsy, it was love at first sight.
In my opinion, a graphic tee is a great wardrobe staple because they are so versatile. You can pair it with literally anything! I have worn them tucked into a pair of jeans or shorts, layered over a long sleeve shirt and recently over a romper like I have done here. I knotted the tee to up the style factor a notch and I was pleasantly surprised at how effortless it looked. My striped romper is almost 2 years old and if you want to see it styled another way, look here.
This best friend graphic tee has been on serious rotation and it will always be one of my favorites! Not only is it so cute and comfortable but most of all I love the message.
Even before I was pregnant with my son, I knew that I wanted to be more than just a mama to my child. I knew that I also wanted to be his or her best friend. Fast forward 5 years later, my son tells me all the time that I am his best friend and I feel very fortunate that he is mine. We spend most of every day together and I love that my little man can share anything with me even if the bulk of our conversations revolve around trains and marbles. I know that there will come a time when we aren’t going to be together this much. For now, I am going to savor these special moments because there is nothing sweeter than having my son wrap his little arms around me and tell me, “Mama, I love you. You are my best friend.”
So, whether you are planning to go out or staying in this Valentine’s Day, you can’t go wrong with a graphic tee. WOW Maureen I loved this post and these outfits so much, when I saw them. I can 1000% relate to both your post – as in what you wrote – as well as your outfits. As you know I love matching with my little girl. And like you and your son, my daughter and I talk about anything and everything and she is my world and of course, my best friend. You are totally right about graphic tees. I almost got a Valentine’s one this year for that very reason! Instead I found the most beautiful sweater on clearance and just had to go with it!
