Hello, hello!
I know we are a month into 2026 but I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and an even better start to the new year. I’ll give you a full update on what we’ve been up to in my next Monthly Ramblings post, so make sure to stay tuned for that. But today, we are jumping right in with a fun one, and this all started with a conversation I recently had with a co-worker that involved handbags. A topic that clearly went down a rabbit hole, and sparked the idea of this post.
But, before we get started, a little fun fact about me especially if you are new here – handbags are my kryptonite! To say I am obsessed with them is an understatement. To me, accessorizing with a handbag is one of the fun ways to express my personality. In fact, when I am getting dressed, it’s often the bag that I get most excited about. That said, below I am sharing a glance at what I own and I’ll talk a little bit about each bag, and to add to the fun, I’ll also share the bags that I currently have my eye on.
Let’s dive in!
Of all the bags I own, this one gets the most use and it is an all-time favorite. From shopping, to running errands, to traveling, this bag does it all. On top of that, the Louis Vuitton Mini Bum Bag is so carefree, I don’t have to worry about it getting dirty or scratched because of the embossed grained leather. And if that wasn’t enough, thanks to its design, it’s a bag that can be worn across the chest, so I never have to worry about the security of my belongings.
After a year of pandemic homeschooling, I wanted to reward myself. I knew I didn’t want a traditional bag, and I felt like something colorful. So, I looked for a bag that simply made me smile. As I was perusing the Nordstrom website one morning, I came across the Coach Willow Camera Bag, and immediately fell in love. The playful colors and fun vibe was exactly what I was looking for. It’s made from coated canvas, and for its size, it fits all my day-to-day essentials. Here’s a full review, if interested.

I wind up using a bag often and making it part of my weekly rotation if and only if it’s incredibly functional. In my opinion, a mini backpack is about as functional as it gets when it comes to bag styles and I absolutely love this one from Kendall & Kylie. It’s a bag I reach for often and it’s easy to see why. Not only is it beautifully made, undeniably cute, and incredibly durable, but this bag allows me to be completely hands free, and remains lightweight even when packed full.

I love the look of the Celine straw bag, but I wasn’t sure I was going to use a bag like that enough to justify buying one. So, when I found a straw bag at Shein that caught my eye, I didn’t hesitate to give it a try. Let me just say that this bag is beautiful, super practical, goes with everything and completely suitable for summer or any tropical vacation! It is a small size, but it is super roomy and carries quite a bit. Inside there is a fabric drawstring pouch for keeping your contents secure and contained. Additionally, it’s handheld but comes with a crossbody strap for when you need your hands free.

I don’t often buy multiples of one style, but this is a bag that I own in two colors. That’s because I adore its chic, understated, and timeless design. It’s a bag that is effortless to wear, and style wise, it works well in both casual outings and professional settings. And despite the small size, it fits so much. But that’s not all, the YSL Toy Loulou Bag is as versatile as it is beautiful. That means, she’s a true multi-wear bag because the strap is detachable. For that reason alone, the YSL Toy Loulou Bag is an essential part of my handbag repertoire.

My love for Rebecca Minkoff bags started with the mini MAC, but it was this brown feed crossbody bag that stole my heart. I love that it is under the radar and doesn’t scream designer. The leather feels amazing, the color is stunning, and the silhouette is timeless. Not to mention, this bag is also lightweight and fuss-free. Whether it’s for running errands, shopping, or brunch, this is just an all-around fun bag that is easy to wear and style year-round.

I have been wanting to hop onto the white leather trend train for a while now but I’d been hesitant because they have a bad rap in terms of color transfer or being a dirt magnet. Ironically, that’s exactly what happened when I bought the Coach Mini Rowan Satchel Bag in Chalk. I hadn’t realized that my shopping bag had residual dirt on the bottom. When I took my bag out later in the day, it had black marks on it. But because it’s constructed of pebbled leather, I was able to use a wet cloth to wipe it clean. That said, I never thought I’d own a white bag but this bag helped me change my mind. Here’s my first impressions review, if interested.

Every handbag lover has a dream bag, and the Chanel Boy Bag is it for me. I’d been drawn to it since it came out in 2011. From its edgy design to the boxy silhouette, down to the signature Chanel clasp closure and chunky hardware, this bag simply takes my breath away. An absolute stunner, if you ask me. Last year, I finally added one to my collection, and a white one at that! It’s such an easy bag to use, and it goes with so many different outfits. She transitions seamlessly from day to night, or work to weekend without skipping a beat.

I don’t consider myself to be a tote girly, but my dad knew better when he gifted me this bag over 10 years ago. I love that it’s low maintenance, easy to use, and super roomy. In my opinion, it is the ideal companion for work events, weekend getaways, or simply any time I need to carry more than my daily essentials. What’s more, it is in the most beautiful shade of blue. I wear a lot of neutral colored clothing, and this bag just works so well with many different pieces that I own.

When I purchased this bag, I wasn’t filling a need, I just really love the style. One of my favorite features of this bag are the two pockets with the turn lock closure in the front. It’s so cute, and totally signature Coach! I picked this one up in the Greystone color, and it literally is so beautiful. The bag is constructed of pebbled leather which makes her a great everyday bag. Not only that but it’s super roomy and this bag surprisingly holds quite a bit.

It’s been a little over nine years since I purchased my Alexander Wang Mini Rockie Bag and this bag still makes my heart skip a beat. The silver stud accents on the bottom totally gives the bag a very bold unique look, and I love that it is different than anything I have in my collection. It’s constructed of pebbled calfskin leather. So, while it has softened over the years, the bag has yet to show any scratches or wear. Let alone, lose its shape! If you are considering the AW Mini Rockie, make sure to read my review.

I fall in love with a lot of bags based on aesthetics alone, but what seals the deal for me are the details that come along with it. The Prada Moon Bag is one of those bags that is hard to walk away from. Its color, hardware, size – this bag is all together amazing. And how gorgeous is that strap closure? An ideal companion for a a day out and about, date night, and everything in between, that’s for sure!

There is something so classic about a top handle bag and I simply cannot resist its allure. So, when I came across the Old Trends Ficus Bag, it was love at first sight. It’s chic, compact, and has a classic silhouette that is perfect for every day. And, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how much I have gotten use of this bag as a top handle, given that it isn’t the most practical for my everyday life. But I just love how it instantly makes it look like I’ve got it all together.

I don’t have many events that require me to own a clutch, but I couldn’t resist this one from Shein. It’s fun, cute, and different! So, even though, I have used this bag only once, I am glad to have it in my collection. Additionally, it also comes with a chain strap if you chose to wear it as a bag versus a clutch.

The Chloe Faye Mini Backpack is one of my favorites in my handbag collection. There’s just something about its minimal aesthetic that I find irresistible and it’s such an easy piece to wear. The mixed hardware give the bag a unique look which also adds to its versatility and I get compliments on this bag any time I wear them. And, though, it looks compact, there’s more than enough room to hold everything I need. I wrote an entire review about all the pros and cons of this bag if you want a full breakdown.

Now, for what I want to add to my collection next…
I want to add a mini tote bag to my collection, and the Goyard Anjou Mini Tote Bag fits the bill. To me, the size is perfect, and based on the reviews I have seen, one of the features that I am obsessed with is the shoulder straps. I love that the shoulder straps are long enough to fit over the shoulders. I am eyeing it in either green or red.
Technically, this isn’t a bag but one that caught my eye. That’s because, it has the look of the classic large Longchamp Le Pliage Tote Bag, but in a smaller size. The best part, though, is that there are many colors to choose from, and I am lusting after the pink tea hue!
You can’t beat a black bag when it comes to versatility. So, when I was trying to think about which bag I would repurchase in this color, the Chanel Quilted Barrel Bag came to mind. I already know that I love the style, size, and versatility. Now I just need a good excuse to actually pull the trigger.
There’s not much to be said about the Coach Nolita Bag. It’s a pretty straightforward type of bag, but one that I can’t get enough of. I always wanted one, just have not found the right color and print to purchase.

Such a fun post. I really enjoyed how you talked about choosing bags that work for your lifestyle rather than just following trends. It makes the collection feel personal and thoughtful, not just a display. Now I am tempted to reassess my own handbag situation.

You do have an impressive collection of bags and they are so cute and varied! I love your Alexander Wang Rockie mini backpack and Longchamp large bag the most because I would prefer to carry those options. Your sweatshirt that said “I have no self control” had me on the floor laughing. Great sense of humor there!

My sister used to carry a similar mini bum bag everywhere during our last trip to the city. That grained leather is definitely the way to go for keeping things looking nice after years of use.

I love your collection and actually own a few of these myself. There’s nothing like a great handbag to elevate any outfit. The Alexander Wang Mini Rockie Bag is especially cute, I’ll definitely be adding that one to my list.

I thrifted a Longchamp tote for $7 and I really like it for traveling because I usually only use it on the way back from a trip and can carry it inside my suitcase. You have quite the fun collection of purses and handbags and it was fun to look at all of them. I do love your yellow one (I have a small one that I love in the warm months) and the blue little backpack is so cool!

Wow, you have so many handbags! I think I have 4 or 5, each for a different purpose. I love my mini backpack for when I want my hands free, and just use my regular backpack for going to school (work) every day.

I love how you shared your handbag collection in such an honest, personal way, it feels like flipping through a style diary rather than just a fashion list. The mix of pieces you already own and the ones on your wishlist makes the post relatable and inspiring for anyone who enjoys curating their look over time. Posts like this remind me that fashion is less about trends and more about the stories we carry with us every day.

You seem to have a really lovely selection of handbags featuring a mix of styles and colours allowing for various occasions. I love Chloe Faye Mini Backpack as that would be perfect for me when I go out on my power walks. It looks like it would be just the right size to fir both my phone and keys and not bulky or heavy either.

You are not kidding! You do have a lot of bags and now I am inspired. I used to treat myself to a nice purse every once in a while but it’s been forever. Seriously I can’t remember the last time I had my sights set on something and just went for it. I really love the Chanel little white purse, I think that would be a go to for me in terms of classic style but I also love that you have so many cute options that are unique in shape, style, texture and color. I am really needing to find a nice clutch so if you ever see one, send the suggestion my way.
