No road trip to San Diego would be complete without a stop in Temecula.  To me, there’s nothing like driving through wine country and taking in the beautiful views of the different vineyards.  It’s just a wonderful way to be outside and enjoy a fun summer afternoon with your favorite people.  So, while we were in the area, we explored a couple wineries.  Our first stop was Europa Village.  After that we visited Callaway.  It was so lovely to be able to sit out on the patio area and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere. Of course, also take some pictures! That said, I am so excited to be sharing a simple Mommy and Me summer winery look today.  

When I know, I am heading to a winery, I tend to be drawn to breezy dresses. This colorful striped one from Shein was exactly what came to mind when deciding what to wear.  I purchased it a few months back and have been saving it for our family trip.  The button detail down the front is so cute, and it’s also lightweight, cool, and just easy.  But what I love the most about it is the color palette.  Not only is it playful and fun, but it allows me to coordinate with my son.  So, when my dad gave the little guy this adorable pair of shorts from Uniqlo, I immediately knew that a mommy and me look was in order.  I just loved the way both my dress and his shorts looked paired together. In my opinion, it’s a match made in clothing heaven! 

While any top would work for this look, I chose to keep it neutral, and a simple white button-down shirt is all he needed up top.  I like how it offers some structure while still being practical, cool, and comfortable at the same time.  In other words, it’s simple, summery, and easy. 

Of course, an outfit isn’t complete without accessories.  Since most wineries involve a good amount of walking to and from the venue or standing in their tasting room, comfortable shoes are key! Sandals are a great option, but we slipped on our trusty white kicks instead because nothing says effortless like sneakers! I got mine years ago from Old Navy and I have worn it countless times.  They seriously match everything and are versatile enough to wear with shorts, dresses, and jeans.  My son’s white sneakers are a recent addition to his closet and was a Target find.  I got his usual size, and I am happy to report, it didn’t need any breaking in.  

Lastly, you can’t go to a winery without a sunglass to keep the sun off your face and up until last year, I was on the fence about adding a white sunglass into my collection.  But after witnessing the little guy rock his pair time after time, I finally bit the bullet and added this oversized retro cat eye pair a few months ago.  I absolutely love the lens shape of this pair! The quality is amazing, and I have received so many compliments in the short amount of time I’ve owned it.
