Old Navy Dip Dye Sweatshirt Dress
It’s no secret that I love a casual outfit. Unless I have somewhere special to go, my typical uniform involves jeans or leggings of some sort. But every now and then, you’ll spot me in the wild wearing a dress. A sweatshirt dress, that is.
I recently added this dip dye sweatshirt dress from Old Navy to my wardrobe and it’s become one of my go-to when I want to feel like I am wearing lounge clothes but look a little nicer. Not only is it beyond comfy but it’s easy to move around in. Though the shape is simple, the dip dye print really elevates the look. In other words, it’s minimal without being boring. The part that I personally think is great, of course, is the bright color. It is what initially drew me in, and it is absolutely stunning. But, if dip dye isn’t your thing, I am happy to report it comes in a number of solid colors as well such as black, rust and grey.
So, let’s chat details!
This dress comes in regular, tall and petite sizes so there’s literally something for everyone! I tried both XS P and S P since the reviews said it runs big. To be honest, I didn’t notice a huge difference between the sizes and kept the XS P. I like how it’s just a bit more fitted but still forgiving. The length of the dress is also just right. Not too long or too short. On my 5’0 frame, it hits just a few inches above my knee. But for those of you who don’t like the way the dress is short, you can simply wear shorts underneath it.
In terms of fabric, I thought it might be a hot, heavy fabric but it’s not. It is very lightweight, breathable and so soft which makes it perfect for spring. When it gets cold, throw on a denim jacket or a leather jacket to keep warm.
As for the rest of my look, I kept it simple and I paired the sweatshirt dress with my white sneakers. I have had this pair also from Old Navy for several seasons and it goes with everything! Lastly, I added my AW Mini Rockie Bag to the mix for a nice dose of edge and fun. This bag has been a go-to of mine ever since I purchased three years ago and it remains a favorite. In other news, I can’t believe it’s almost one year since we started this lockdown. It is truly unbelievable! Time is oddly flying by. But I have to admit, as much as I never want to wish time away, I am glad we are already in March. I couldn’t be more excited! Why you ask? Well, for one, we are a month closer to remote learning ending and two, my little guy’s birthday is coming up. I enjoy planning his parties and love getting creative. Last year, I made his birthday cake and this year I decided to try my hand on making him a pinata. I am happy to report it was fairly easy to do. I posted a before and after photo on Instagram, in case you wanted to see it.
