Red Dresses For Women’s Heart Awareness

Heart disease doesn’t discriminate and can happen to any of us even to those that are very fit. February is American Heart Month and I have teamed up with Ada of Elegance and Mommyhood and a group of amazing ladies to spread the word. By wearing red, we are encouraging you to focus on your hearts and make simple healthy choices to prevent yourself from becoming a victim of cardiovascular disease.
For this post, I am wearing a red cold shoulder shift dress. Shift dresses have always been one of my favorites shapes and red is my favorite color so it’s a win-win! Not only are shift dresses comfortable but they are incredibly versatile. It’s a timeless style that can go from day to night with a simple swap of shoes and accessories.
My dress is from Forever 21 and for only $11 it was a no brainer. The material of this dress is soft, lightweight and flows with you but what’s so perfect about this shift dress is the cold shoulder neckline. It’s flirty and feminine. As someone who has broader shoulders, a cold shoulder neckline is very flattering and with the neckline on my dress making such a statement, it takes almost no effort to come across as put together and stylish. I kept my accessories simple, with only adding in my nude wedges and clutch, making sure that the dress was the star attraction.

Yes, heart disease can happen to ANYONE! Even if you are thin and workout 7 days a week, it can still affect you! I love forever 21 dresses. I have a good # of them.
