Train-Themed Birthday Party Outfit
Somehow, another year has flown by, and my son is another year older. We celebrated him with a train-themed party back in March, and it was a lot of fun! I’ll have a post about all the party details, but today, I am sharing the outfit that he wore on his special day. That said, when planning your little one’s birthday party outfit, you really want to keep in mind what you have going on to ensure he or she can enjoy every second and that is also appropriate for the weather. Since my little man’s birthday party was spent outdoors at a park and consisted of kid-friendly activities, his outfit reflected that.
Let’s kick things off with this adorable graphic tee.
Graphic Tee
In my opinion, nothing says train lover than a graphic tee that says I love trains! Not only is it totally festive and perfect for a train-themed birthday party, but he can run, jump, walk, sit and play with his friends for hours without worrying about being too hot or uncomfortable. What’s more, the colors are so fun! I love how it can be easily mix and matched with all kinds of other items. It also layers nicely under a cardigan or jackets. Cardigan
Speaking of spring is such a beautiful time of the year, but the weather can be so unpredictable. So, when I started putting my son’s birthday party outfit together, I knew that an outer layer would be included. I first featured this red cardigan in this outfit post. In case you missed that, what I love about this cardigan is its versatility. It can be worn closed by buttoning it up or leave it open like how my little guy is wearing it in the picture above. Best of all, the red color adds a really nice touch in keeping his look playful and fun.
Denim
In terms of pants, since my son’s top make a statement, I chose a more basic bottom. Denim seemed like the right choice. It balances his outfit and denim simply makes anything cooler with very little effort. But this look would also be cute with a pair of overalls or if it’s warm where you live, a pair of colorful shorts.
Shoes
Lastly, no outfit is complete without the perfect shoes, and this red pair is a new addition to my son’s shoe collection. He has these in the yellow version, and he wore them all around Santa Barbara and Monterey last year with no complaints. So, I knew I had to get them in red for his party and it was all I need to pull his outfit together.
