What I Wore To The WOW Summit 2018 Conference

Disclaimer: I will be doing another post about who I met and what I learned at the WOW Summit 2018 Conference. This one is all about what I wore.
Since I began my blogging journey, one of my long-term goal was to attend a blogger conference. I am happy to report that earlier this month, I made this goal a reality. I attended the 6th annual WOW Summit that was hosted by MOMS Meet held in Anaheim, California and it was an all-around incredible experience.
Leading up to the conference, however, I was a bundle of nerves! While I have attended work conferences in the past, I have never attended one for bloggers. Not only was I attending alone, but I also wasn’t quite sure what to expect. On top of that, what in the world do you wear to something like this? Though this seems like an odd question that springs to mind, it is an essential one.
Regardless of what industry you are in, attending a conference provides the perfect networking opportunity. You have the chance to meet and interact with people in your industry as well as establish connections with brands and potential collaborators. Given the importance of conferences, you want to make sure that you put your best foot forward. Like it or not, first impressions matter and it’s no news that your outfit says a lot about you.
Today I am sharing what I wore to the WOW Summit 2018 Conference and why I chose this outfit.
Since I am not one to get too dressed up, I knew that I wanted to keep my look simple but still make a good impression. We all have pieces of clothing that we keep going back to and this striped jumpsuit is one of those items for me. Not only are stripes one of my favorite print but there’s something about a jumpsuit that instantly makes you look put together. And anyone who knows me, also knows I love practical and comfortable clothing.
The black and white stripes on this jumpsuit instantly give it a more polished look while the blouson silhouette create an effortless relaxed vibe. This striped jumpsuit is great on its own but since conference rooms are always cold, layering is the best option for keeping warm. You can throw on a denim jacket for both practicality and style or simply pair it with a white tee or bodysuit just like I have styled in this post for an understated sophistication. As far as finishing touches go, no look is complete without shoes and accessories. I topped off my look with a pair of studded white mules and red mini tote. In my opinion, not only are studs and red a great way to add interest to any outfit but it helps you stand out in a good way.
Overall, this was an easy and comfortable outfit that was appropriate for a full day of running from one meeting to the next. I felt incredibly confident in my ensemble but more importantly, it complemented my personality in such a way that I was able to visually represent my brand’s identity without having to say a word.

You totally nailed it with this outfit and good thinking about the layering factor, sometimes its too hot or the AC is just making it way too cold. I know what you mean about wanting to put your best foot forward and you want to kind of fit in, but yet still stand out as an individual. I am so in awe of this experience and strangely I feel proud that you went by yourself; possibly because I would be anxious to do something like this on my own.
