I may be sharing these photos a little later than planned, but they’re some of my favorites from last fall, and they deserve a spot here on the blog! If you caught my last post, you already know how much we loved our visit to Live Oak Canyon Pumpkin Farm in Redlands. Between the endless pumpkins, fun rides, and beautiful fall displays, it was the perfect place to kick off pumpkin patch season.

Needless to say, coordinating outfits were a must!

So, in today’s post, I’m sharing the coordinating outfits my son and I wore because honestly, half the fun of visiting a pumpkin patch is dressing for the occasion.

If you’ve been to a pumpkin patch before, then you know there is no dress code which means what you wear is very much dependent on your personal style.  But, for me, I love the opportunity to dress nice and look extra cute.  Since I knew we would be running around outdoors, I wanted an outfit that’s practical and easy to move around in.  This black maxi dress by Anrabess from Amazon was exactly what came to mind when deciding what to wear.  It checks all the boxes – lightweight, comfy, and effortless! Plus, pockets.  #ilovepockets What’s more, I look for any excuse to match or coordinate with my son and this dress made it easy.  

That said, you never know what the weather is going to be like, so I layered a cropped denim shirt on top for added coverage.  If it happens to be warm, I can easily take it off, tie it around my waist and just let the dress shine.  From there, I opted for my oldie but goodie Old Navy slip-on leopard sneakers that you’ve seen many times before.  It’s one of my favorite prints and I love how it adds a fun touch to my outfit while still being practical for a day full of walking and wandering around a pumpkin patch. 

Of course, as a handbag lover, I never leave home without one of my sidekicks! So, for an extra dose of eye candy, I brought along my Coach mini-Hadley backpack for our trip.  It’s such a practical bag that not only fit all my essentials with some room to spare, but I also adore that it doesn’t require extra special care and is very low maintenance.  

As for my son’s outfit, he coordinated with me and donned this adorable denim shirt from Amazon.  Let me just say, the dark contrasting chest pockets on this are just way too cute! With it, he wore simple black jeans from Levi’s.  My son can be picky about the jeans he wears, but this one is made of a soft fabric that’s super comfortable and easy to move in.  On his feet, he wore these black canvas slip-on sneakers also from Amazon.  

All in all, it was so much fun coordinating our outfits. We were able to capture these fun photos and, more importantly, make some new memories together.
